COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Jever Light is as Friesian-bitter as its "big brother". It is brewed as a low-gravity Schankbier and has 40% less alcohol and calories than Jever Pilsner.

Bottle, green glass, by 05/12. No skunk in this one, a light whiff of grass and faint malt in the nose. Pours clear, very pale golden with a white head. Taste has that undiminished, characteristic Jever bitterness that lasts and lasts with perhaps less balancing sweetness/malt; of course nowhere near Nanny State Territory but it still has that unforgiving, brutal quality that always has me glad I didn’t buy a case. Medium, soft body with a significant hop bite. Pretty good for a Shankbier-conversion.

Bottle. Strong barley wort aroma. Clear golden yellow color with small head. Slightly sweet barley wort and moderately bitter grass/quinine flavor. Nice for a low alcohol - what I expected from Jever.

Bottle, at RBNAG -09. A clea, pale golden beer topped by a small, white head. Malty nose with a fruity touch. The flavor has a nice bitterness, with grass and malts, but the malts are left too much in the background. Thin and dry. Bitter, grassy finish. A quite decent and easy drinking low alcohol. 091108

Yellow with a lasting white head. Aroma of grassy and herbal hops, with a touch of grainy malt. Thin, dry and hoppy flavour with a little wort-like malt. Rather watery, but bitter finish.
