jeverszeuge (125), Germany Aug 28, 2007 the bock of the brewery they named after me...
golden colour, head is medium in size and solidity. sweet and hopsy smell. starts intense spicy and malty with hops. mid is bitter hops, the finish is jever-like - bitter and spicy with some malts in the background. not a typical bock but THE bock for people who love north-german-style beers.
Nekronos (1943), Xalapa, Mexico Aug 19, 2008 NOt that good, I expected more and after someone reccomended me the JEver Pils I have only found how not so good they are. Borresteijn (582), Amstelveen, Netherlands Jul 21, 2008 Sampled @ Pint Meibockfestival. Copper/blond colour, faint aroma of malts and hops. Taste is bitter, some sweetness, but finishes bitter again. Thin body. Not good. Hansen (1769), Randers, Denmark Jul 7, 2008 I like this bock, it has a pleasent bitterness. Golden colour, clear. Has a white head. Malty aroma, notes of alcohol. Flavor starts moderate sweet, after 5 secs a distinct bitterness is clearly present. Nice. oldrtybastrd (1512), Morlautern, Rheinland-Pfalz, Germany May 11, 2008 Pours a hazy medium yellow. Aromas of malt, caramel, and some floral. Flavor malty and spicy with some nice hop bite. TBone (5115), Pori, Finland Apr 24, 2008 Bottled (BB 10/2008) Courtesy of bierkoning, thanks Edo!
Honey golden color, small white head. Quite neutral aroma: a bit grainy and alcoholic, not much hops found. Medium-bodied. Malty, alcoholic, a bit sweet, bitter finish from alcohol and grassy and slightly ashy hops. Long bitterish aftertaste. Malty and hoppy strong lager, which tastes even stronger than 7,4 %.
