Commercial Description:
Unique in taste. The secret lies in the water, which is still taken from the same well used well over 100 years ago. The water from our well is unusually pure and soft. That allows us to add a touch more hops to create the Friesian-bitter taste that distinguishes Jever Pilsner from any other beer.

(6/19/08) Draught at Sophie’n Eck in Berlin. Clear golden color with a medium stable white head. Aroma of grassy hops. A rather hoppy and bitter flavor with nice hops grassiness and lighter malty tones. Medium-bodied. A nice Pils.

50 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden yellow with a huge white head. Smooth and hoppy aroma, mild fruity. Flavour is mild sweet at first but is soon taken over by a potent bitterhops flavour with a mild fruity accent. Ends smooth yet with a solid bitterness bite. Surprisingly good given the other strange Jevers around.

Bottle. Pours a clear pale golden color with a medium sized frothy white head. The aroma was grainy, bready, and some hoppy notes as well. The flavor is more grain and bready, light fruit, bittering hops. Light/medium mouthfeel with a dry bitter finish. Not something I would do again.

Lively aroma, and smooth drinking. A bit bitter on the aftertaste. Not really my cup of tea, but it wasn’t too bad. I’d drink it again.

50cl bottle. Golden with light white head. Aroma is grainy and hoppy. Taste is wheat, malty and some herbs. Lightly bitter aftertaste with a metalic pilsner taste. Not my style.

Pours a clear pale yellow with minimal white head but decent lacing. Sweet and grainy aroma. Solid pilsner flavors, earthy. Saaz hops? Pretty good for a pilsner.

Lakewood, Oh. Rozi’s Wine and Liquor House - 11.2 oz bottle. Light, pale golden pour with a pillowy white head that sticks around a while. Saaz induced hoppy aroma - just this side of skunky. Some honey sweetness, a bit of biscuity maltiness and some lingering bitter notes. Mouthfeel is slightly metallic.
