COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Unique in taste. The secret lies in the water, which is still taken from the same well used well over 100 years ago. The water from our well is unusually pure and soft. That allows us to add a touch more hops to create the Friesian-bitter taste that distinguishes Jever Pilsner from any other beer.

11.2oz. green bottle from Hi Time Wines. Pours clear golden yellow with heavy carbonation and good head. Aroma is skunky - can’t really get any malts or hops. Taste is standard pils with skunky grains and grass. Not my cup o’ tea. Why do breweries still insist on using green bottles?

(11.2oz green bottle treat from my good pal bu11zeye, best by 3-20-11, glad it is still fresh) pale yellow but long lasting white bubbles and excellent lacing. Nose is very skunky, corn, and sugar. Taste of sugar, earth, cracker, bread and an oily/skunky finish. Pretty gross.

Thanks to bu11zeye for sharing this bottle. The beer pours a very light yellow color with a large white head. The aroma is corn, wheat, skunk and grassy hops. The flavor is wheat, pilsener malt and grass. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. The beer smelled a lot more skunked than it tastes, but it was still very disappointing overall.

On tap at Gourmet Haus Staudt in Redwood City. Pours a crystal clear golden color with a lasting white head. Aroma is very nice and hoppy. Grassy and floral with slight grainy malt notes. Flavor is pale malt and grain with just the right level of sweetness. Huge bitter hops - floral and grassy with even a little citrus. Dry and crisp on the palate with some nice hoppy palate-wrecking for a pilsner. Wow, this beer really impressed me. Excellent for the style.
