COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Unique in taste. The secret lies in the water, which is still taken from the same well used well over 100 years ago. The water from our well is unusually pure and soft. That allows us to add a touch more hops to create the Friesian-bitter taste that distinguishes Jever Pilsner from any other beer.

Golden with fat white head. Woody aroma with notes of spices and malt. Crisp and tart. Malty flavour with some sweetness. A bit grassy with firm growing bitterness.

While unpopular with the missus(not too into the style), I thought this was a nicely hopped German Pils. Good for the style. Serving: Tap

Not particularly hoppy by american standards but it is one of the German pilsener with a clearly present hop flavor beyond the bittering additions. Very smooth mellow malt character as well. Very enjoyable beer.

Pour form an 11.2 oz green bottle. Classic lager look with two fingers of head on a fine golden body. Excellent hoppy aroma – reminds me of Augsberger circa 1980, which could be smelled across the room. Flavor is light graininess with a fine and full grassy and bitter hops profile. Dry, lingering finish. While fully hopped this is not some silly exercise in cramming as much hops into a brew as possible – it’s just a really flavorful, really good brew.

Sampled at the World Beer Festival Richmond, 6/12/10. Pours a clear pale yellow color with a medium frothy head. Decent head retention and lacing. Grassy aroma with sweet grainy notes and a bit of skunk. The taste is very grassy with grainy and nutty notes. Medium bodied.
