Nov 13, 2009 Bottle shared by zuluflyboy. Pours clear yellow with a bone white head. Nose is light malt, cereal, hop bitterness, and some grass. Flavor is bitterness and light malt with notes of bread and some grass. Interesting pils overall.

Nov 1, 2009 Courtesy of jdubFL. Pours almost colorless with a faint hue of gold and white head. The aroma has a nice spice hop pulse followed by grains and floral hops. The taste comes across as fresh and crisp and fairly hop heavy, certainly for the style, with solid bitter notes of spice and floral hops. Those notes are feebly cut by a bit of graininess and an echo of malt. I like this hop forward Pilsener.

Oct 25, 2009 Bottled from Aachen. Pure goldem, with the mustbe white head, grassy hoppy nose. Aroma is lightly bitter, hops. Finished with lots of hops and some malts. Nice made, but nothing special.

Oct 9, 2009 Certainly a very pretty beer - pale yellow with a classic white head. Light in body and easy to drink, with strong smoky bitter hops. Good enough, but I prefer more body and crisp hops instead of this much bitterness.

Oct 4, 2009 I can see how this beer can get lost in the land of huge and barrel aged beers. This is a excellent example of a highly quaffable, bitter German pils. This managed to help ease the pain of another Raiders loss, this time to the Texans. Ugh.
The beer pours out a bright yellow color, crystal clear with a bright fluffy white head with really nice lacing. Light carbonation is also present. Aroma starts out slightly skunky, but after a bit of breathing the grassy notes really shows up. Body has a fantastic combo of lightly roasted grains and crisp German hops. The whole beer was bright and flavorful and I really wish that more people could be exposed to this beer because it really is phenomenal. A great beer.

Sep 30, 2009 Crisp and dry, with a slightly lower ABV than many German pilseners with this level of flavor and hopping. I had always avoided it due to the green bottle, but I haven’t noticed any skunkyness. A good clean session beer that matches up nicely with a big plate of currywurst from the doener stand down the street. The nose reminds me of Hofbrau O-fest, but with more of an herbal hop character.
