COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Unique in taste. The secret lies in the water, which is still taken from the same well used well over 100 years ago. The water from our well is unusually pure and soft. That allows us to add a touch more hops to create the Friesian-bitter taste that distinguishes Jever Pilsner from any other beer.

Clear golden color. Grainy aroma, a bit herbal. Taste is plain bitter hops, a bit malty. Surprising. Not bad for what it is, just boring.

Dorada clara con un par de dedos de espuma. Muy burbujeante. Aroma cereal. También predomina en la boca, con carbonatación muy notable y cuerpo medio. Fuerte amargor final duradero. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a clear gold with carbonation. Has a grainy and malt aroma. A heavy grain, pine, and bitter malt taste. Lingering bitter and sour malt taste.

Very bitter for the style, grass and herbal hop flavors, a bready malt background. Very dry. I like it.

500ml can. 4.9%abv. Pours a crystal clear, pale yellow with a one finger, white head. Aroma is bright with notes of grain, caramel, and traditional hops. Almost got butterscotch for a sec. Taste is a touch on the bitter side. Grains, classic spicy/grassy/earthy/herbal hops with a bit of harsh hop bitterness to end it out. Medium body and carbonation. Clean in the mouth. Overall ok but wouldn’t get again. Nice aroma but the taste is a bit harsh. Not sure if that is intentional or not.

On draft. Pours a medium yellow with a frothy white head. Very little aroma. Overly bitter flavor that lingers too long. Not a fan.

What can I say.... Industrial taste and appearance, lack of aroma and way too much hops, even for a Pilsner

Review: Can of Jever Pilsener: 4.9% ABV The Classic Northern German Pilsener with the famous bitter taste. The appearance was one of a clear golden yellow, with a pretty decent sized foamy head that stuck around, with good lacing. This Pilsener looks lovely, a very clean looking brew with a good body. Good carbonation and looked tasty The aroma had a smell of malt and herbal hops with a hint of citrus. A strong lager smell The taste, wow, that’s a taste and a half, initial shock, full of tastes from start to finish. Sweet grainy lager malts and hops, with a slightly metallic tang to it. Very hoppy bitter taste! Dry grass finish with strong bitterness. Overall, a good solid dry pilsner that’s tasty, VERY TASTY!
