Unique in taste. The secret lies in the water, which is still taken from the same well used well over 100 years ago. The water from our well is unusually pure and soft. That allows us to add a touch more hops to create the Friesian-bitter taste that distinguishes Jever Pilsner from any other beer.

Klar und golden. Durschnittliche, weisse Schaumkrone. Zuerst sogar etwas mild, dann aber sehr, sehr herb.

Golden straw body with a pillowy white three finger head that stays around for awhile and looks great lacing the glass. Slightly bitter taste. Clean finish. A little bland but unoffensive.

can. pours unclear pale yellow with a creamy white head showing some retention and lacing. cushiony pale cereals - some sweetish grains, citrus and grass, candied lemon, white grapes, hint of dust, cardboard, woodsiness and sulfur. light carbonation - could be brighter, light body - slightly watery, almost crisp citrusy-grassy finish. more than interesting cheap pils.

Pils industriale colore paglia con schiuma consistente bianca. Al naso molto "standart" con note vegetali ed erbacee. In bocca corpo medio e carbonazione giusta.

[6721-20140909] Can. Straw and grainy yeast aroma. Slightly hazy, pale yellow brown body with a medium-lasting foamy white head. More straw and fresh grainy yeast in the flavour. Medium body. Easy to drink on a late summer afternoon. (7/3/7/4/14) 3.5

500ml can. Clear blonde with a thin frothy white head. Flavors are bread, sweet cereals, grass, citrus and honey. Light to medium body, high carbonation, creamy texture.

Crisp indeed, we have to admit, but that Kräuter mix on the aroma and flavours are repellent. I remember having hated this beer in another life. I just tried it again to make sure, maybe I could have learned to appreciate... but no, not this.

Bottle from supermarket. Clear, straw-coloured, with big white head. Aroma consists of hop bitterness, herbal notes, perhaps some flowers? Taste is mostly a strong but generic hop bitterness. Also some cereal, perhaps bread-like, flavours in the second row.
