3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Poured from a 330 ml bottle.
It pours a golden yellow colour, and a one finger head that quickly dissolves. Minimal bubbles.
Aroma is of malts and hops, not so strong though.
Taste is bitter, and leaves back an even more bitter once swallowed. Also, a bit metallic at the tip of the tongue.
Medium thickness on the body with an average carbonation.
Overall, a quite nice beer!

Aroma: typical german lager aroma. Looks straw with nice very white head. The head stays for a some time. Taste: some bitterness, but also watery. Finish is also watery with some lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation. Overall: rather boring german pilsener.

The Jever is a great one and to me, it belongs to the "references" of Pilsner.
But in comparison to the similar "Wicküler", the "Jever" got a very strong hop and to me it´s a little to bitter-dry.

Flaska från SB. Doftar friskt från gräs, säd, citronskal och har en lätt honungssötma. Lättdrucken, men för det inte blaskig. Smaktoner av säd, lime och örter. En trevlig pilsner.

Aromas of hay and cereal.
Beautiful golden in appearance with a few streams of bubbles rising to to feed the snow white bubbly head. Slightly malty and very refreshing ’soft’ taste. I’m not usually a fan of Pilseners but the german guy who recommended it is really on to something. The softness of the water I think is really noticeable (but I’m a bit pedantic about water) and I really think it lends toward enhancing the flavour and texture of the beer. I was told that the softness of the water is supposedly "better for taking the flavour" and on consideration, when comparing this to other such beers in my opinion I can see this. So I think this may be more than a mere ploy, as some may suspect.

500ml bottle. Pale amber with a medium white head. Aroma is mild and zesty. Flavour is slightly herbal, resinous and very slightly metallic. A surprisingly bitter, hoppy finish on this one. I liked it a lot.

Thought this was a decent German pilsner, nothing spectacular. Pours golden and tastes of malt and some bitter. Clean, crisp.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a very clear straw golden with a thick fluffy head that quickly settles to a thin film and hardly laces. Nose involves an instant whiff of skunked hops followed by some light bread malt and doughy yeast, soft citrus, pine, and spice hop notes, and sweet clean malt. Somewhat sweet flavor, quite bitter. Light body, crisp, fairly effervescent, with a drying bitter finish. Less light-struck, I would imagine this to be a clean and very enjoyable pils. However, as with any green bottle beer, you never know what condition its been stored in and what to expect. Perhaps this is what they were going for, a la Corona or Heineken. Regardless, a nice interpretation.
