Unique in taste. The secret lies in the water, which is still taken from the same well used well over 100 years ago. The water from our well is unusually pure and soft. That allows us to add a touch more hops to create the Friesian-bitter taste that distinguishes Jever Pilsner from any other beer.

Bottle from Masuyo’s. Pours a clear golden straw color with a medium-sized white head. Light cracker an skunk on the nose with some pepper. Very active carbonation on the palate. Taste is skunk, cracker, goya and grass. Bone dry finish with solid bitterness. Wish it hadn’t been skunked. Would have rated it higher.

Straight ahead German Pils the way it was meant to be. Great beer, nice hoppy aroma. Think better Becks.

Definitely a lager that is among the best on the market. It has pronounced dry aftertaste due to the bitterness of the hop is somewhat high for the pilsner type. If you can get beyond popular opinion, there is at usual lagers, then offers Jever a completely new and delicious experience. Hops profile is the most significant I discovers, but it also has a slightly sweet and beautiful balanced malt the beginning. It is thirst quenching and somewhat dry aftertaste. Perfect lager to suit just about everything.

330ml bottle from Systembolaget. Clear golden, high white head that leaves good lacing, small nice bubbles in the glass. Sweet citrus aroma, hay, lemon and metal. Light-bodied and light fresh mouthfeel, medium carbonated. Tastes grassy hops, citrus, pilsner malt, honey. Finish with mild bitterness and herbs.

Light blond with a small white head. Malty, grassy, hoppy. Medium sweet with a bitter hoppy finish. Hoppy enough but a little bland.

Pours clear golden with a white head. Aroma is that lager aroma I’m not keen on but with a touch of rosey apple sweets. Quite an oily texture, not too over carbonated and surprisingly quite nice for a pilsner. Bit of apple, some herbs and a slight bitter finish.
