COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Unique in taste. The secret lies in the water, which is still taken from the same well used well over 100 years ago. The water from our well is unusually pure and soft. That allows us to add a touch more hops to create the Friesian-bitter taste that distinguishes Jever Pilsner from any other beer.

True to the german style pilsner, with a tiny hint of sweet. Bright gold in color, no lacing. The aroma is pleasant, light bodied. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pretty bitter, but not overpoweringly so. Really light and refreshing with a head that lasts quite a long time.

Nice aroma. Quite bitter, almost to the point where it becomes overpowering. Perhaps a little too bitter for my taste, but pretty nice overall.

12 oz. green bottle. Best by 0615. I thought this would be ok since it’s a reasonably fresh bottle by German import standards, and it was kept in cold storage, but no… still skunky. It pours a nice clear golden yellow color with a small white head. The aroma is skunk and aluminum with some pale malt and spicy hops underneath. The flavor is better with strong noble spicy, floral, earthy hops, hints of skunk and pear fruit with a little pale malt sweetness before a medium bitter finish. Very nice mouthfeel. This is probably pretty good stuff when fresh.

500ml can served in an ordinary glass. Enjoyed in Freining, Munich area. Before visiting the Wiehenstephan monastery at the 28th of September, 2012. A: Pours a pale yellow color forming a big bubbled and aired white head. Beer is absolutely clear and head retention is medium to low. Some lacings are formed and left S: Quite simple in the nose. A mix of sweet grains, bready Lager yeasts and flowery hops. A bit ashy and metallic. Authentic German Lager T: As the nose, slightly sweet upfront. Sweet malts. Followed by a bready and crispy Lager yeasts. Considerable hop sting which is citrus and earthly. In overall, dry and crispy in taste M: Very light body and considerable carbonation. Flowery, stingy citrus aftertaste O: Easy drinking beer. Good session German Lager beer. Recommended [ BA Review @ 9/28/2012 ]

Schön herbes Pils, aber doch eher ein Schönwetterbier. Von den Fernsehbieren noch eines der besten.
