Bottle (purchased anywhere in Iglau): Golden, small to mid-sized white fluffy head; shy - almost a bit toasty - malty nose with a faint metallic-hoppy tinge; quite full bodied for a beer of 4.7%, moderate malty base, quite sweet flavour; sweetish malt and some mild hops in the short finish. A bit on the sweet side, but quite O.K. ...........

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Marko (3612) - Split, CROATIA - OCT 16, 2007
Tap at my university’s students’ club. This afaik replaced Pilsner Urquell on tap. I’ve heard from someone that it was really Urquell in Jihlava kegs, but I seriously doubt it now because the kegs had the importers’ stickers that clearly said that this was the 4.7% Ježek.
This poured a nice yellow-golden colour with a medium sized thick creamy white head, very lively carbonation. A nice malty nose, with nice herbal-lemony hopiness. The taste was remarkably pleasant. A superb honey-fruity maltiness, with some pleasant background herbal hopiness that mixed with the maltiness nicely. A bit salty, and a weak weak touch of metal, but all in all, a very, very good pils. If this was really Pilsner Urquell, this was the oddest (and the best) one I’ve ever had (if it was, I’m rerating it with this review here). Anyway, deserves the high score.

was pleased when the giantess served this. very soft, as you´d expect of moravian pilsner it doesn´t hit you over the head with hops but you notice them more the further you go
