COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Extraordinary beer made only from malt-house, water from the granite historical wells of Jihlava´s brewery and from the soft hops products. The uniqueness is given extraordinally full taste, soft malt taste and scent. Even thought the alcohol content is 8,1% its taste is ranked among classical Czech beers - nicely bitter, with the stable foam and bread-taste. Also its colour distinguishes "Jihlavský Grand" from the others - it´s honey-gold.

Orange color with small head. Aroma of nuts, malts, straw, grassy hops. Taste is light sweet, some bitterness. Light body, oily texture, soft carbonation.

Keg at Slovansky Lipy. A pretty strange beer. A ramped up Svetly. So much sweetness from what must have been an enormous ammount of malt. Comes across as syrupy. It’s very hoppy too. The booze isn’t in hiding at all. Warming, boozy, full bodied. A bit much.

500 ml bottle. L32106120724. BB 22/12/12. From Cuso. Děkuji moc!
Clear deep golden colour with small to average sized white head. Aroma is mild berry bitterness, almondy sweetness, alcohol and malt. Flavour is some bitterness, almond, mild sweetness, alcohol and some malt. Some hoppy bitterness in aftertaste. Too boozy to be enjoyable.

Flaske fra min gode kollega Petro: nydelig gylden rødfarge. Skummet faller fort men sløret henger fint på glasset. Maltaroma. Et deilig snopeøl - behagelig maltsødme med en forsiktig men fin humleprofil. De 8,1% varmer diskret i bakgrunnen. Et interessant øl brygget på lokal malt, lokal humle og vann fra deres egen brønn.

Drunk over Twitter with my main man Danny Brown, though he’s obviously more of a wuss than me cause he thinks this is a beast for real men only whereas I put it in the realm of the average in terms of beastiality (I’m sure my phrasing has lost its way somewhere there).

Bottle from the_bish. Amber without a heed. Smells perplexing - like an envelope draped in treacle. As for the first sip, well err it has essence of landfill. Initially dead in taste, but then leads to an absurdly long finish which has by turns: rotten lettuce, brandy, sugared water and lots of caramel and medicine. Improves as you progress, but from a dreadful beginning, it has plenty of ground to make up! Re-rated within 20 mins of starting - it actually improves a lot and having warmed a bit, is quite palatable. I’m bumping the mark up from 2.4 to 3.3.

Bottle. Clear reddish copper color with a thin head. Aroma is caramel, malt, honey and some alcohol. Metallic taste of caramel and dough. Too much alcohol in finish.
