Extraordinary beer made only from malt-house, water from the granite historical wells of Jihlava´s brewery and from the soft hops products. The uniqueness is given extraordinally full taste, soft malt taste and scent. Even thought the alcohol content is 8,1% its taste is ranked among classical Czech beers - nicely bitter, with the stable foam and bread-taste. Also its colour distinguishes "Jihlavský Grand" from the others - it´s honey-gold.

0,5l glass bottle at Vrutak. Dark golden color, minimal white head. Medium sweetness and medium bitterness. Same finish, with longer lasting bitter touch. Well hidden alcohol. Decent, good for a price. Would buy it again.

Bottled. Dark brown body with a very thin white foam. Aroma is interesting - sweet malts, even some hops, but a portion of alcohol in the aroma is a bit dissapointing, although not completelly. Tastes a bit thick, again, alcohol amount is overwhelming, could be done much better actually. There are caramels, malts there, slightly hopped finish, but alcohol... sooory.

Bottle from World Beer Museum (Osaka) Beer Marche bottle shop, labeled as "Merry X’mas Beer" and "World Beer Museum Original Label Beer." Sweet, slightly yeasty, peaches, and mixed floral notes. Clear bright straw color. Sweet initial, some alc. emerges right away, in mid palate also a bit of decent hopping, and then more alc. warmth. Medium body. Some interesting flavors, but not very integrated. The alc. really stands out.

16/XI/13 - 50cl bottle @ home - BB: 27/XII/13 (2013-1070) Thanks to Marie for sharing the bottle!

Dark gold to orange beer, creamy off-white head, pretty stable, bit adhesive. aroma: sweet malts, bit sugary, some marzipan. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: sweet start, pretty sugary, orange peel, bit of marzipan. Aftertaste: soft bitterness, grains, bit chemical, toast, caramel, bready, bitter ending. Just read the commercial deScription, don’t know where it came from but the tasting notes match with mine. I always find this intriguing when I find this out afterwards.
