UPDATED: MAY 13, 2015 Bomber from Schilling Cider House
Clear golden pour, green apple nose. Sweet like most JKís ciders, a combination of Martinelliís, golden raisins, and 7-up. Really big flavor for the 4.5%, and very easy drinking. Basically, sparkling cider for the craft beer set. Maybe that sounds like a dis, but Iíve never gone through a bomber of cider this quickly. Delicious.

Bottle. Head is initially very small, fizzy, fully diminishing. Body is dark yellow to light amber. Aroma is notes of caramel apples, light notes of honey and alcohol. Flavor is moderately to heavily sweet, lightly acidic. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic. Light to medium body, watery/syrupy texture, fizzy carbonation, lightly astringent. Yet another caramel soda pop beer from this place.

Bomber from The Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours dark gold. Aroma seems raisin/grapey. Med body or nearly. Itís sweet raisin. Reminds of Sunkist snack boxes. Finishes far from dry, but itís pretty interesting.

Bomber. Not my favorite of the Scrumpyís lineup, but still one damn tasty cider. Orange are raisin are hinted at, but very lightly, other than that itís a medium bodied sweet cider like they do so well. Itís good, but itís not a need to try brew.

Aroma is apples and a mix of astringency/bad mead-like qualities. The flavor is apples, tangy fruit, slightly off funk and a sour/tart finish.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle split with my wife. Pours a lightly hazed gold with a medium sized white head. Spicy and vibrant on the nose, yeast with a bit of funky apple and a sweet orange note. Medium-bodied, a bit on the sweet side but itís balanced beautifully by the orange zest tones and bright acidity. Bright orange acidity into the finish, lingering sweet apple. Really interesting stuff, quite enjoyed this.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle from Whole Foods Bowery. Pint glass. Neighborhood kids cleared me out of candy, & Iím desperate for something sweet.
Clear, but muddled, dull gold, active body. Lingering sliver of whitewash head.
Smell is bright & strong, like a screwdriver made with Minute Maid-ish orange juice concentrate. Just barely a hint of apple juice & scorched sugar in the background.
Taste is sweet upfront, but more so tart(& even sour), with lots of orange juice/oil. Lingering orange/apple juice box blend. A lot like a mimosa. Feels bigger then 4.5%. Spiked punch. Not super sweet. Subtle tannic thing right at the end. Moderately strong, supple carbonation. Heavy citric acid burn.
Probably overdid it with the orange peel. Just. A. Bit.
