3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottles of various vintages, 2010 and onwards.
Large-bubbled bright gold body sports a moderate, but somewhat fizzy white head that recedes quickly to the edges. I guess Iíll just state right away that the head/carbonation speaks to my biggest complaint with this cider; the lack of carbonation. I think if these guys would not pasteurize this stuff, it would be one of the best there is. As is, itís still a delightfully flavorful, full-bodied yet crisp, drinkable American cider. Very light lactic notes dance on the edges of the palate, with deep, juicy apple flavors and a mild but refreshing tartness.
Itís odd, especially, that they pasteurize this, given that they arenít filtering it. I dont think the carbonation has long enough to develop, and it further inhibits any funky flavors. Anyways, enough harping about that, though I do think it leads to more looseness/wateriness in the mouthfeel and more susceptibility to oxidation. Great stuff, nonetheless, perhaps a touch too sweet.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Rated on 5-23-2010 (Bottle) This cider has a small off-white head, slightly hazy light yellow body, slow rising carbonation, and spotty amounts of lacing. The aroma is sweet, tart and apples. The taste is sweet, applejuice and dry. The palate is soft carbonation and this cider is medium bodied. This is easy to drink, but the flavor needed some boost to it.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
22 oz bottle shared, from Evergreen Discount. Pale and clear with minimal head. Aroma of fresh apples and a light earthy yeast, a little musty. Similar flavor with light to medium sweetness and tartness. Body is light with a crisp, smooth feel and a refreshing, lingering finish.

3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Cloudy and almost white. Very sweet but thereís other flavors there that balance it out and make you want to hold it on your tongue for as long as possible.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a pale straw golden with a hint of blush and numerous tiny white bubbles forming the thinnest white ring around the edge of the glass. Nose involves a sharp crisp apple note, zesty and spiciness Iím guessing from the yeast, some pie crust, floral notes, a waxy quality, and other difficult to describe esters. Fairly sweet flavor with a fair tartness, well balanced. Light to medium bodied, fairly actively carbed, waxy, with a clean, crisp tart finish. Excellent, incredibly well constructed and enjoyable.

4.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Light and slightly sweet apple cider type flavor with a fairly tart dry finish. Alcohol is not very noticeable though. Very smooth and drinkable. Quite enjoyable. This is the best hard cider I have tried thus far.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from Total Wine, Sacramento. Lately I have been reminiscing about my days on the family fruit farm in Michigan, as us old folks are wont to do, so I am rating some good ciders noted in Kenís weekly column. This one pours cloudy amber and actually has a beige head that goes away quickly. There is a nice apple flavor with a tangy fermented finish. Tastes a lot like the cider I used to press by hand, although J. K.ís apple variety is unknown to me..

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Dense, steady haze with thinnest ringed head. Firm carbonation visible but didnít sweep through. Good and honest mulched Apple core nose, not too gassy. Smoothly sweet initial taste, almost winey blended white groggy with a slight nutty casing. Slickest juicy burn, heaped in fruit and clean fresh near sherry wink. Very sumptuous, would love this fresh off the farmhouse steps.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Looks like I took notes on this one in December of last year, but neglected to enter the notes, good thing that Winterruption cider reminded me to go back and look for notes.
Pours a golden color with a small white head that fizzles out, the cider has lots of tiny bubbles.
The aroma is mostly red apples, some soft spice, & some nice floral notes. Mostly itís sorta apple-juice like.
The flavor is a tad on the sweet side for what I normally dig on, but itís got lots of red apple flavor, some mild floral bitterness, bright acidity and a nice level of tartness.
