Tap at JL Beers in NE Mpls. Very dark dense looking pour with a soapy tan head. Roasty. Fresh hop aroma. Smooth and rich palate. Taste is cocoa, roasty malt, bright hop that’s mild - overall an excellent beer.

A nice black IPA. Strong hoppy qualities ion both the aromas and flavors. Leaves nice lacing. Solid stuff

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Very dark brown pour with a small tan head. Pretty mellow for a black IPA, but still tasty. Smooth and lightly bitter, some nice roasty dark malt, subtle hops for the style. Dry finish.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tap, JL Beers Bismarck. Beautiful appearance. Dark brown with a thick creamy brown head. Great retention and lacing. Roasty and citrus nose goes right onto a rich taste. Piney too. Sweet and toasty, citrus... spot on for my taste buds. Drinkable all day long. This was a big time score.
