A dark orange brown coloured beer with a thick off white head. A light roasted malt aroma, bready and nutty and a hint of chocolate in the background. Dry mouthfeel. The taste is a medium dry malt flavour, bready and nutty, cereal and a slightly sweet chocolatey, coffee flavour in the background. The finish is dry and malty. Draught @ Brauhaus Joh. Albrecht, Hamburg.

Im Vergleich zum Messing fällt dieses gar noch etwas ab. Süß und pappig, dazu ohne große Würze, Süffigkeit oder anderer positiver Eigenschaften. Etwas an Karamell und Nuss, das war es dann schon.

On tap at the brewpub in Hamburg. The beer has got a hazy dark brown colour with a low head and medium body. Aroma of malt and bread. Taste of malt, dark bread, straw, hops, caramel and nuts. Refreshing, solid beer.

10th Dec 2014: 0.4 litre glass. Draught @ the brewpub. Poured a cloudy reddy brown with a white head. Malty and semi-sweet nose and taste, caramel hints within the flavours: I liked it better than the Messing (Pils), but only marginally.

Tap@source HH. Nose of roasted bread crust, dry caramel. Slight protein/eggy quality, brewpub style in taste, accompanied by quality roast malt, some acidity, leafy hops, a harsh mineral quality and bitter, twig-like finish. Astringent finish.

Alla spina al brewpub di Amburgo. aroma con caramello, nocciola, frutta secca. Al palato corpo medio, aromi abbastanza intensi che ricalcano l’aroma. Godibile

Big creamy longlasting head. Aroma is slightly sweet, caramel malts, minerals, hay, cereal, chemicals, weeds. Taste is strange kind of harsh mineraly, soap, grain, weeds, minerals, cereal, hay. Little bitterness, harsh mouthfeel. Drainpour...
