Pours slight hazy yellow with a little white head. Light fruity, light citrus, and mild yeasty aroma. Caramel malt and yeast flavour, mellow yet slight sweet towards a fruity note in the finish. Ends with a lingering yeast flavour. jerohen (1458), Bussum, Netherlands Nov 18, 2007 Bottled at ’Trappistenhuis’, Ghent. Hazy golden coloured, small white head. Spicy nose. Sweet spicy flavour, somewhat cloying. Reminds me of Leffe Blond. Sticky. Not great. MMortier (10), Ghent, Belgium Aug 24, 2007 Bottle at Trappistenhuisje Gent. Very hazy and very pale. Head is stable and stays thick and frothy pretty much the whole time. But then again that’s because I drunk it so quickly. This is an easy beer and I miss complexity or expression. Aromas of fruit and spices but they hide too well under the hops. Overall taste reminds me of Duvel green, very drinkable but misusing its potential. Sweet touch that is very pleasant to hold in, and rounds up timely into bitter aftertaste but then it just kind of goes away silently. Great beer to refresh your thirst but overall I found it one-sided.
