Pours a nice light amber color. Taste is pretty smooth with a good hoppy finish. Nice head, but dissipates quickly. Overall pretty good.

12oz bottle pours amber witha creamy white head that stays well at about 1/2 inch and laces very well. Aroma is nice floral hops over caramel malts. Flavor is quite malty. Caramel, brown sugar, a nice hop finish. Palate this is light bodied and airy.. Highly carbonated. Feels good in the mouth. Very drinkable but nothing great about this at all. Average.

Mild aroma. I didn’t notice the sour apple scent at first, but now that I saw others did, I think that might have been the aroma. Initially, I thought it was a yeasty smell. Mild tan head. Hazy copper color. Smooth with a little bitter-sweet aftertaste.

Draught. Metallic, grassy hop aroma (similar to Grolsch and Heineken) with caramel undertones (similar to Bass). Metallic hop and flat caramel come out in the flavor with a bit of brown sugar in the backgound.

Aroma of sour apples, yeast and malts. Soapy white head that lingers. Cloudy amber color. Malty slighty bitter, but smooth taste. Too bad this one has been retired.

From the bottle.

Pours amber with a modest head. The aroma is metallic hops; the flavor is whole-grain bread, malt and sour hops meeting in the middle, with a soft and short finish and a thin but highly-carbonated palate.

Reasonable enough to drink, and a pleasant reminder of the some of the session ales I’d drink in Scotland, though nothing exceptional.

Has a strange, almost yeasty aroma. Amber color, slightly cloudy. Sweet bread flavor. Finishes quickly. Easy to drink, even if it’s not very exciting.

UPDATED: APR 10, 2006 Bottle: I saw this was retired so dispite the many beers I hadn’t tried I felt the need to try this before it was gone. It was obviously an amber color and it had a decent offwhite head. I can definitly agree with the sour apples aroma and the malty/cookie/cracker taste this beer has going. It is quite good.
