Cool name..I would but it for someone on that alone. Bottle poured a nice copper color with no head and I could not detect much of an aroma. Taste is ok, with a medium body a little spice..not bad at all.

It just didn’t work for me when I drank this one. To me just a little below average beer and maybe with some more Courage I could like it.

Pours amber with a big, white head. Aroma of malt, slight coffee, and corn flakes. Tastes malty, corn flaky, with some toffee at the finish. Medium to light palate, with a slightly dry finish.

Not a very good beer. I tried one of these last night and it wasn’t good. The odor of mine was actually kinda sulfur and the taste left a whole lot to be desired.

Finally a beer that Dan Rather would love. Not really a good beer, though I do enjoy the name. Rather drab.

UPDATED: APR 27, 2005 More English than Scottish, but that’s okay. This is not a bad beer; in fact, I kinda developed a hankerin’ for it by the middle of the glass. I wouldn’t mind another. Nice balance of malt and hops, with enough bitter to make the party interesting.

I was not impressed by this "amber", I must admit. Very little brightness or hoppiness. Had that taste of an "English" beer creep in at times, but other than that, this was undistinctive. I’ll take a pass next time.
