1.1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 4/20 Crash (501) - Macomb, Illinois, USA - SEP 20, 2004
The only thing I remember about this beer is that it was tasteless. I was taking notes and the only thing I could think to right down was tasteless.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 freekyp (1280) - Thomasville, North Carolina, USA - SEP 19, 2004
BOTTLED: Coppery with mid-sized creamy white head and decent lacing. A good, but unexciting, bitter. Clean and crisp with biscuity malt and even-keeled hops. Well balanced, but a bit boring. English malt character is the main player here.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 bb (4577) - Alamo, California, USA - SEP 16, 2004
Bottle. Copper color, beige head. Not much aroma. No overly strong flavors, but malt backing to a bit of spicy earthiness.
3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Cobra (1076) - In a van, down by the river, Maryland, USA - SEP 12, 2004
12 oz. brown, longneck bottle. Freshness date of 06 09 J (L05) on
the neck label. I guess it’s fresh. Poured out a golden copper color, with a medium white, meringue like head at first. It slid back to a thin lacing on top of the beer, and along the sides of the glass.
Aromas are of spicy hops, along with a substantial maltiness to it.
Tastes are of rich malts, and spicy, earthy hops. Makes your mouth water when you drink it. Tangy hops bite when swallowed, and a rich mouthfeel as well. A really good English ale.
3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Cornfield (5239) - Oak Forest, Illinois, USA - SEP 8, 2004
A good malty aroma rises from this dark amber brew. A nice white head that lasts for a while. It delivers a full, malty mouth-feel that slides down the gullet nicely. The aftertaste is clean and crispt. Good brew.
3.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 tony2times (23) - Blacksburg, Virginia, USA - SEP 6, 2004
The beer was a clear light brown/dark gold color with a thin amount of head. Strong sweet smell but when tasted nothing really stood out for me.
4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20 Tweety83 (26) - Blacksburg, Virginia, USA - SEP 4, 2004
One of the best beers I’ve had. Strong aroma and a refreshing taste. Does not have a strong aftertaste; hop bitterness is little.
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 jimmack (1221) - Nutley, New Jersey, USA - AUG 19, 2004
Bottled. Clear amber with a thin off white head. Aroma of sweet malt. Flavor is malty sweet with very little hop
bitterness.
