3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 ATOmemphis (200) - Franklin, Tennessee, USA - JAN 13, 2006
Pours Dark Amber, light white head that dissipated quickly. Hops and malts noticible in aroma. Has a particular hop bite to it. Finish is not the cleanest, though it comes across as quite dry.

12oz bottle. Amber beer with a white head that laces. Nice malty aroma and flavor. Hops were noticeable for a nice balance. Sweet, caramel, good carbonation. A nice, enjoyable ale.

Bottle. Dark amber colored. Not a lot of head. Kind of a little funk in the aroma, like funky hops. Some grain too. Seemed like kind of a stale sweetness, along with some of what I call dirty english water (no offense intended). Its more of a well water-like quality that I get out of some english beers. It isn’t bad, I just wonder when it was retired because like the last rating suggests, there wasn’t too much of a hop presence.
2.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 jb (1540) - Rochester, New York, USA - DEC 23, 2005
Had on tap. This rating won’t be helped by the fact the beer tasted stale. Nice amber color with decent head and lacing. Nice malty flavor. No hops to speak of. I was disappointed.
3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 yayforbeer (733) - Orange Park, Florida, USA - DEC 21, 2005
UPDATED: DEC 22, 2005 Amber beer with a white head and some lacing. Malty flavor that reminded me of Killians Irish Red Ale, but better. Hops were noticeable and a bit metallic, though well balanced. A little sweet with caramel and a medium body. Nothing exceptional here, but its an easy drinking and enjoyable ale. Purchased a sixpack for $7.99 at Broudys, Orange Park FL.

(Draught) Pours a clear amber body with a small creamy off-white head. Aroma of malt, grass, and caramel. Flavor of caramel malts and a hint of apple.
2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 TheBeerOrg (1978) - Crestwood, Kentucky, USA - DEC 6, 2005
Pours dark golden with a thin white head. Aroma is bready with sweet crystal malt. Taste is sweet cracker malt and dusty yeast. Mouthfeel is thin bodied with medium carbonation. Not bad, but not very enjoyable.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20 bmanning (142) - Arlington, Virginia, USA - NOV 20, 2005
Pours a golden light amber color with a small white head. Aroma is grainy, musty, and a bit sour with a strong smell of honey. Flavor has a caramel sweetness but is dominated by unpleasant metallic and grassy hops. Has a dry bitter finish with that lingering metallic taste - almost like taking a bite of aluminum foil. Palate is pretty good though - lively carbonation and smooth. But overall a poor beer as far as flavor goes.
