FROTHINGSLOSH (1465), GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 25, 2008 Sampled on draft this beer poured a hazy amber color with a small white head. The aroma was musty citrus and pepper. The flavor was tangy, spicy and had notes of pepper, ginger and coriander. A bit musty it turned sweetish towards the long peppery citrus finish. Surprisingly full bodied. Nice. cheapdark (1547), Monacatootha, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 7, 2007 Updated: Dec 31, 2007On tap at the Monroeville John Harvard. Pour is almost orange, cloudy like an unfiltered wheat. Very nice looking with very little head, just a creamy girdle. Aroma of a good spiced wheat beer, lots of spices whamming the olfactory. Initial taste is very spicy also, Comes across like a highly spiced wheat beer of some sort. Very low creamy carbonation. The spices in this brew make it a bit one sided. Leaves a palate that is mostly the taste of coriander. Some pepper can be detected. Cannot taste any fruit or lemon peel in this brew. I like wheat brews but this seems to come across as a wheat imitation. Not nearly as enjoyable as Jolly Pumpkin Bam Biere or Yards Saison. You would not know this was a 6.5% beer when drinking it, it is well hidden.
