Dogbrick (2166), Columbus, Ohio, USA Aug 22, 2006 Sample at the Pittsburgh location. This beer is similar to Three Floyds Pride & Joy, just not as good. Clear golden color with virtually no head or lacing. Weak hops aroma, with a hint of malt. Light-bodied with subtle hoppiness that lives up (or down) to the title, along with a smattering of earthy malt flavor. The finish is pretty bland, and there is no real aftertaste. Didn’t do it for me. Aurelius (2443), Tallahassee, Florida, USA Aug 13, 2006 OK, I’m not really sure what a ’Pale Mild’ is. This was lager clear gold, so I’m calling it a golden ale. Very muted aroma. Tangy, lightly sweet, medium woody light bittering. Lagery. Finish is initally lightly sweet, then bitters. Clean drinking. Mild lemony notes. Bland.
