Commercial Description:
This here is a North American-style Brown which features the flavor of caramel and chocolate malts. Also added were some special hops to give it some kick and there you go, Assistant Brewer Eric Ahlberg’s, first solo beer creation! This beer was inspired by his hometown of Warrenton, VA and near the battle of the same name. Please congratulate Eric on his awesome brown beer which will soon be a staple in the John Harvard’s lineup.

Pint pour @ brewpub. Clear dark brown color. Aroma is light on the this brewpubs signature mineral-seltzer thing with a nice amount of light sweet brown sugar-like malts. Taste is not off-putting at all. A good bitterness to offset the light dark wood sweet malts. Very easy drinking, in my opinion the best brown ale this JH has ever made. It’s just a nice, sessionable, lightly sweet, nothing bad, brown ale. Seems so easy but usually it doesn’t come out so.

This is one of the finest beers that I have ever sampled. A lot like New Castle, but with a smoother finish and less bitter on the palate. Just an outstanding beer.

Pale brown beer, no head. The aroma is quite subtle with a light nuttiness. Some nutty malts and light herbal flavour. Palate is quite watery with a moderate woody hop finish. Meh.
