Sampled on draft at the Monroeville PA location this beer poured a black color with a medium sized brown head. The aroma was roasty malts and a hint of coffee. The flavor was sweet chocolate, cream and light toasted malt with a long silky chocolate finish. The mouthfeel was silky smooth.

This was a knockout. Served huge head. Taste roasted and choc aromas .... delivered creamy. After taste a bit bitter but choc lingered. Nice consistency.

At the JH in Lake Grove NY. This was the "Augustus Gloop" Porter at this location; clever name is the best thing going, unfortunately. VERY sweet & chocolaty, just some hints of roastiness, very simple, just too much, and I'm a sugar-holic with dark beers. Oh well.

MMMM, this one is really yummy. A huge frothy head, and immediately you taste a very chocolate malt flavor. This is a great desert beer. Not something I could really sit down and drink more than one of. But do not get me wrong this one is extremely yummy, right down to the smoothest finish, I have had in a long time.

Nice black color, kept a great creamy & foamy head, you can definitely taste the chocolate tones in the beer, very very smooth
