JoeMcPhee (3671), Jackson Heights, New York, USA Jul 26, 2006 Lake Grove location. Dark brown-black with a light brown nitro head. Roasty chocolatey aroma. Nice creamy body, milk chocolate and a bit of earthy hoppy aroma. Good flavour and aroma despite all of the nitro. Soft roasty bitterness along with sweet chocolate and toast. Medium bodied. Very tasty stout. Nuffield (2536), Roseville, Minnesota, USA Sep 11, 2005 85% opaque, red in block; light beige head. Big cream soda aroma, grape, vanilla, almost a barrel aged aroma. Easy drinking flavor with notes of grape, toasted coconut. Smooth, moderately oily. They also had it on tap as a nitrogenated beer, of which I was given a sample; it may improve it a bit like that. Not bad at all. (on tap, Washington D.C. Penn Avenue location) The_Beer_God (2827), Newport News, Virginia, USA Sep 8, 2005 From a sampler at John Harvard’s in DC on September 5th, 2005. Body is dark brown with splashes of ruby. Aroma is roasty and lightly sweet with whiffs of coffee. Taste is fruity (melon and pear) and roasty with lots of malt sweetness and light coffee. Chocolate comes into play throughout this one. Body is lighter than expected but still smooth. Finishes fruity and malty with light hops and coffee.
