CharlesDarwin (1315), State College, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 19, 2008 On tap at the brewpub. Nice chewy hop nose in pine resin and citrus rind. Soft and waxy. Lazy. Pours a deepened orange, with a silky, white lace above. Flavor is fresh dense and chewy. Quite a douple pale and not just an IPA. Hops work balanced and in harmony with the malt. Very bready, chewy and with some yeast. A nice malt profile for the beer. Hops a mish-mash of warm citrus and pine. A bit of grassiness. Nicely balanced. Fresh and bubbly. Alcohol is warming, but only adds complexity. Finishes on a long mandarin draw. kp (6000), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Sep 1, 2007 Date: 02/10/2007

Glouglouburp (1852), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Mar 14, 2007 Tap at Boston EBF 2007. Cloudy golden body topped by an off-white ring. Balance clearly leaning towards the hops. Light roasted malt flavour dominated by substantial amount of hops with a taste lying somewhere between citrus fruits and pine-tree. Above average and very pleasant Pale Ale on steroids. Recommended to hopheads. I now do reverse exorcism, I help people who possess a Demon get rid of it. sliffy (1930), Columbus, Ohio, USA Feb 14, 2007 EBF 2007: Clear copper color with a white head. Aroma, citrusy hops, some pale and caramel malts. Flavor, caramel up front, floral and citrus on the finish, nice bit of bitterness. Pretty solid stuff. Dickinsonbeer (2458), Hoboken, New Jersey, USA Nov 14, 2006 22 oz bottle from Weeare. Thanks Mike. Pours a light hazy amber with a thin lasting head. Aroma is of solvents and pineapple, mango and other tropical fruits- amarillo and simcoe? Light citrusy flavor with some pine, and cedary notes. Light crystal malt backgrounnd and a lighter than expeceted bitterness for an 8% hoppy beer. Smooth and tasty finish.
