3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
This one was most noticeably high in alcohol and did indeed have a "warming" effect. Still had a nice beer taste (didn’t become wine-like) and retained that great Belgian character with all sorts of stuff going on (too complex for this novice to dissect). Too bad I stopped enjoying the fresh growler as the Eagles tanked in Superbowl 39.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
At Monroeville location. Sweet caramel and malty sugar aroma, mild vapor. Some orange peel. Medium dark amber cler, with thin head. Medium heavy watery body with medium carbonation. Starts sweet, thick, with sugar and caramel. Mild orangevpeel and carbonic saltiness. Medium bitterness toward the finish. Alcohol presence. Mild salty sweet after. Decent but could stand a little aging or something else to smooth it out.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: AUG 25, 2011 Not one of the best Belgians from this brewer but still nice. +++ Sampled on draft at the brewery this beer pours a medium brown color with a small tan head that left decent lacing. There is a sweet tangy scent. The flavor is strong sugar, mildly sour bready malts and slightly tangy . Medium finish. Thick and full body.
