Dogbrick (2228), Columbus, Ohio, USA Aug 22, 2006 Sample at the Pittsburgh location. Pours a dark amber color with a medium thin beige head and spotty lacing. Amazingly floral heather aroma, which was easy to verify as they had a glass of heather at the bar. Some malt in the nose as well. Medium-bodied with a rich malty character, and again the floral heather is predominant in the flavor. The finish is smooth and sweet with a nice aftertaste of floral hops. Hands down one of the most unique beers I have tried in quite some time. The closest comparison I can make outside of beer is to Breitenbach’s Dandelion Wine. I hope to try this again someday.
