DocLock (3939), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 4, 2007 Draft at Wayne. Gold pour with fluffy white head. Aroma of pale malt, lemongrassy citrus, some light fruit. Medium, very crisp palate, with a pleasane taste mixture of lemongrassy hops, pale malt, and some honey notes. weeare138 (920), Collegeville, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 15, 2006 Appears a hazy, light gold with a small white head that fades out quickly. Lots of scattered lacing is left around the glass.
Smell is of doughy, citrusy, grated lemon zest, fruity candy, white whine, and a touch of nectarine.
Taste is of the same aromas with some pils malt, perhaps a touch of wheat, and mild caramel that faintly comes through.
Mouthfeel is dry, crisp, and refreshing. Dickinsonbeer (2366), Hoboken, New Jersey, USA Sep 6, 2006 Pours a moslty clear blonde with a nice fluffy white head. Aroma is lightly fruity, herbal hops and light malt. Flavor was actually even lighter than expected even for a kolsch, but still pleasant- light bready malts, fruity, and a light hop bitterness. Smooth and lightly sweet. Pretty good american made kolsch. whaleman (2159), North Wales, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 29, 2006 Several fresh growler samples courtesy of egajdzis. Orange-straw body with a silky white head. Great depth of nutty continental malts in the aroma and flavor, plus a melon-like softness and some gentle citrus acidity. Floral and spicy hop characters develop in the flavor and the finish is moderately bitter. Crisp and refreshing, but has some smooth, palatable texture. An excellent session ale and effective remedy for cotton mouth.
The_Epeeist (813), Swarthmore, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 26, 2006 On tap at the brewpub in Wayne, PA. Brown tinted orange with a minimal white head. Mostly dough and a little lemon. Clean and crisp with substantial body for a light beer. Lemon sherbet, more dough and grass. Hint of bananamelon. Finish is smooth and dry with zwieback and faint airy hops. Nice quaffer. This style works for me.
