1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 6/20
On nitro at the John Havards in Monroeville. Very light root beer color and head, quite a show when it is poured. Big creamy white head like off white whipped egg whites. Slight fruity aroma. On the first taste I canít help but notice there is no carbonation, totally flat, like other nitro widget bitters Iíve had such as Boddingtons. Reminds me a bit of something like watered down Guinness. Slight hops in there but not excessive. Interesting variation on this style. Very nice lacing on the sides of the glass. I canít get used to the palate of these flat brews. Overall, probably would not purchase again. Cannot stand up to the enjoyability of Hobgoblin but is on par as far as enjoyability goes with Boddingtons.
