A dark reddish brown ale with a thin off white head. A light burned caramel aroma. In mouth, a lightly peated malt with agressing nuttyness, light lactic notes. A bit cloying. Medium bodied. On tap at brewpub, Inbièrenationale IV, May 2007.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Freshly tapped cask at the Manchester CT location. Pours a lighter brown than the draught version and slightly muddy with a very fine head. Smells of tea, nuts, sweet malt, brown sugar and some spices. Taste is sweet with some spicy hints. Mouthfeel is full with a sweet finish. It’s experiments like these that make brewpubs like these so much fun to visit.
