Tap at Lake Grove location. pale amber ber, no head. Nice light malty aroma, some light toastiness. A soft herbal hop character. Nice sweetish flavour with good balance. Toasted lightly bready malts. Herbal and floral finish. Nicely balanced beer.

Bland, lifeless, nearly flavorless excuse for a vienna - crisp, yes, and easy to drink, but that doesn't mean that you should - I think I taste some strawberry, but it's more of an afterthought than an actual "flavor."

FROTHINGSLOSH (3947) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 4, 2007
Sampled on draft at the Monroeville PA location this beer poured a vibrant bright red-bronze color with a small white head. The aroma was light malts and floral hops. The flavor was a somewhat bland but smooth mix of light malts and crisp floral hops.

On draught at the Framingham location, March 2005. Light brownish-auburn color, with some light tan tinges throughout and a small beige head. Mostly clear with a big shot of crystally malts and cream. Not much lager apparency in the nose. I’m not getting the banana esters everyone else mentions, which is fine with me. Flavor begins sweet and well-malted, with light fruit (cherry, strawberry, apple) notes. Quite attenuated, but I don’t mind the wateriness as it makes it that much more refreshing. Dry, but not very flavorful hops bite at the end. A bit of dusty yeast.

Clear, pink rusty with no head. Honey cereal malt aroma. Woody, light malt mustiness. Medium-light sweetness, but it comes off dray. Medium body. Nicely done. Did well with the fish and chips and malt vinegar. Pittsburgh.

As ’Southwest Vienna Lager’ on draught at Monroeville. Light bitter astringent aroma, low on sweetness or malt character. Clean dull amber brown body with thin lacing head. Light bodied with soft carbonation. Starts subtle and smooth. Light malt sweetness. Toasted grain and subtle floral hops notes. Orange rind bitterness and some toffee. Finish is medium bitter with light carbonic acidity. After is dry and nutty with a bitter bite.

On tap in Manchester, CT. slightly fruity yeast aroma. Hints of some apples in the nose. Transparent amber.copper color with no head dependant on bartender pour. Start is rather fruity. Hints of strawberry, bananas, and apple. Finish is slightly bitter and hopped. Citrusy orange hops to finish. This is good, but is it really a vienna? I don’t think so.

TAP NY 08. Light amber in color with a small off white head. Aroma of light toasted malt, a trace of caramel and perhaps a touch of butter. Taste is pretty weak in flavor, not too much going on- some light toasted malts, caramel sweetness, and light butterscotch. Very watery and quite bland.
