Commercial Description:
John Labatt Classic was introduced in 1983 as Canada’s only national domestic “premium beer”. It is Krausen-brewed (slow, low temperature with a secondary fermentation process) and has a longer cold-aging process. Classic uses all-malt and a unique blend of western-grown North American hops, providing a smooth, full flavour product with a true malt taste that is slightly sweet. Editor's Note: Is this only available in the US?

Faint floral nose, completely tasteless. Highly carbonated so called Krausen brew (I’m not quite sure what that is) so its supposed to have more of a new years Champaign feel to it. Molson Canadian has much more taste then this. Carbonated corn, as I expected.

The best out of the labatt family in my opinion, but thats not saying much. Stronger taste then blue, with a bit more bite to it.

The best beer in the Labatt holiday sampler pack. A good lager with a solid flavor. Nice change after drinking blue light and select.

This is probably the best Labatt can do for a Lager, much more than it can for a Pilsner (i.e Blue).

Wow. Might be the best lager to come outa a major canadian brewer. Pours a pale yellow, whispy white head, high carbonation, large bubbles. Aroma is of lager malt, water, sweet corn. Mouthfeel is clasic lager, large grain sand papper, smoth but coarce. Taste is light malt, crisp lager, slight bitter hop, with corn undertones. aftertaste dry, skunk, low fule notes. An exelent lager, but not as good as the high price would sugest. For the money {in montreal that is} if you want a lager I would suggest a Harp or a Grolsch, much better for a little less. Cheers

11.5 oz bottle, holiday classic case: Not a bad beer, but sort of like comparing Bud & Michelob to JL Classic & Labatt Blue! Light gold color, small white head. Mostly the same flavors & aromas, but more smooth than the lesser brand of Labatt Blue. Green apple flavor is missing. Light grainy flavor & aroma but smooth. Not much else to this one.

One bottle - Poured a large head that slowly disapated to a fine lacing. Good smooth body with sweet malts and a slight amount of hops at the end.
