COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
John Labatt Classic was introduced in 1983 as Canada’s only national domestic “premium beer”. It is Krausen-brewed (slow, low temperature with a secondary fermentation process) and has a longer cold-aging process. Classic uses all-malt and a unique blend of western-grown North American hops, providing a smooth, full flavour product with a true malt taste that is slightly sweet. Editor's Note: Is this only available in the US?

Fizzy white head of surprising height. Light to medium color. Fairly well balanced. A little dry.

Not too bad but nothing to sing about either. Clear golden color, a little bit of malt in there with a slightly bitter finish. Better than most beers you can find at a lousy gas station.

pondoshuffles (141) - Fitzroy Harbour, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 28, 2003
A honest lager from one of Canada's Big Two brewers. All malt flavour, strange astringent middle and a reasonable hop finish. Thirst quenching and clean.

Prostman (1077) - Pennsylvania, USA - APR 27, 2003
This beer poured a clear yellow color with a nice white head. The taste was very clean and not like the adjunct taste of most of the macro brews.

Clear, golden with thin head and decent lace. Macro nose, actually has some decent malt development, almost soft feel, slight fruitiness and slight ending bitterness. Best Labatts out there.

I had heard this was supposed to be one of the better macro brews, I heard wrong. not exactly sure what makes this beer "classic". pale yellow. some grainy malt flavours, very low on hops and mouthfeel.
