2.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
12oz bottle poured into glass. Brownish red color with an off white head. When held up to light it is a deep red color. Malty smell with a hint of alcohol. Has a pretty sweet taste to it, not much hop taste, just a nibble at the end. Easy on the palate, could certainly tip back a few. Overall a good entry by Labatt.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle: Pours an amber color with a light tan head. The nose is fruity and malty with some caramel and basic dry hop tinged husky pale malt. The flavor has a light impact with some additional sweetness, but a bit of butteryness going on too. The finish is dry and thin. Ho-hum.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
11.2 oz bottle from Headbanger - thanks! Clear copper with an off white head. Lightly sweet bready nose - not a lot more going on here. Light, sweet molasses and bread flavors - actually, better than expected. Some sweet caramel and a hint of grass. Pretty light body. In the end, it’s an unspectacular brew but drinkable - I don’t hate it...

3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Pours clearish amber copper in color with a small off white head. Smells very weak, very little sweet malt smell. Tastes very malty, sweet corn, burnt sugar, and molasses. Aftertaste is sweet. Not bad.

1.9 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
(Bottle courtesy of Headbanger) -Color is a bright clear amber with mellow carbonation and a very thin head. Aroma is very weak with just a hint of malt showing. Taste is light, very light. Starting with a light body it goes down easy. Finish is also light with a faint sweetness and a tiny hint of malt. After taste is clean with a very light bitterness. Overall I thinks its just too light, you can drink it but there’s not much there.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
12oz bottle purchased as part of a mixed 12-pack. Pours a crystal-clear light brown with an almost non-existent head. hints of chocolate and caramel characterize the aroma. Tastes like chocolate, caramel, a bit of butter, and a sort of twang I can’t put my finger on. Light in body with moderate carbonation. Not as drinkable as expected, due in large part to the flavor. Okay, more flavorful than many American amber lagers. If the chocolate and caramel were a bit more pronounced and the flavor overall was cleaned up a bit, this would be a nice simple go-to for the style.

2.5 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Virtually no aroma, though a rich color, had a light rtaste of cherry without the sweetness. Somewhat lacking on the aftertaste, finished cleanly.

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Another cheap beer that I bought to sell on college night and had to try because I never had. Gold with hint of rose in there. Thin cream head. Really almost non existent. Same general smell as the Labatts Classic but perhaps a hint of malt. Dry nose, some grass. Decent flavor, a little tinny, a slight sweetness in the finish to a strange sour aftertaste in the back of the mouth. Some floral notes, almost gritty, if that makes sense. OK but not something that I would order for myself.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
I enjoyed this one while hanging out with Philadelphia Flyers legends Bernie Parent and Joe Watson, at Joe Watson’s home. Dark mahogany color, roasted malt aroma and a tan creamy head. Taste is smooth malt with a creamy texture. Went well with the Halibut and Salmon Cakes prepared by Joe and his fiancee Jamie, from fish caught by Joe Watson himself in British Columbia, and shipped back to the US.

2.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pour from an 11.5 oz bottle. Reddish brown beer with thin head looks OK. Weak aroma of malt with a touch of hops. Tastes pretty good - bit of chewy malt and decent hops finish. Decent mouthfeel. Not bad and possibly the best of the Labatt’s "premium" line.
