Ungstrup (11037), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jan 4, 2004 [I believe this is the beer I've had even though the label only called it Martin's Pale Ale, the label was different than the one depicted, and the alcohol content was only 5.8% ABV. But as far as I remember it was made by John Martin.] The aroma is sweet with powerful notes of hops. The color is amber and it has a beutiful though collapsing head. The flavor is fantastic; sweet, malty with notes of caramel and ending on a good bitter note. A really lovely beer. omhper (10393), Stockholm, Sweden Feb 22, 2002 Brown/orange. Malty and very hop aromatic from the dry hopping.
Papsoe (9980), Frederiksberg, Denmark Aug 9, 2005 Updated: Oct 30, 2007(Bottle 33 cl) Neat, clear amber colour with a small off-white head. Sweetish, perfumy malty nose. Sweet, almost sirupy flavour with some caramel malt. A solid bitter finish saves this from being cloying. 090805 and 080800 Oakes (6823), Miami Beach, Florida, USA May 9, 2003 Golden amber with the faintest caramel in the head. Sour woody hop aroma - peaches, metallic overtones, overbaked bread (not burnt but rock hard)...sweet and sour plums, apricots and pears. Caramel ever in the back ground. joergen (6240), Frederiksberg, Denmark May 21, 2007 Bottle.
