I thought I remembed liking this more, but this tasting just didn’t do that much for me. It has a metallic taste and a cardboard quality in the finish.

Mildly hazy yellow with thin off-white head. Citrus nose balanced with sweet malts. Citric hop finish (grapefruit) with a mild bitter aftertaste, not very hoppy. Pretty weak as far as IPA’s go, this seems to a mass-produced starter IPA.

Bottle (IPA 46) , Carringtons, Manchester. Picked up a 6 pack of this for a party almost solely on the strength of the very attractive box resplendent with elephant and colonial theme..Unfortunately the beer itself doesn’t quite make the grade. Pours a dark golden colour with a fair head. Not much of an aroma to speak of. Tatse is sweet and pretty artifical with an unpleasant metallic twang to it. A bit naff really; as the saying goes , never judge a book etc etc

Nice Gold colour, decent head. Malty/Nutty nose. Has a hoppy taste to it, but not too hoppy. Struck a nice balance in my mind.

Sixpack from JustBrewIt, Jacksonville. Labeled IPA 46. Golden beer with a white head. Mild aromatic hop aroma. Decent flavor of pale malts and hops, as expected for an IPA. Tame by current IPA standards, and nothing to make it stand out. Still, it was drinkable and refreshing on a warm spring day in Florida. I wish I were as drunk as the guy at Ratebeer who put this in the APA categotry.

...well, I’m not much of an IPA man myself, but this was crap. Not hoppy enough, too grassy and light. It came in a sampler, and I would never buy this canadian bullshit beer .

Rynoplasty (700) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - MAR 12, 2008
Pours a light hazy amber with a small white head. Aroma is sweet malt and some citrusy hop. Taste is malty and has a slight bitter finish, but kind of dry for a pale ale. It’s an OK beer but doesn’t stand up to other IPA’s.

Copper pour with a thin, filmy white head. Malty aroma with some floral hoppage and honey. A bit more malty taste, with bread/dough. Finishes slightly sticky with malty bitterness. Not impressed.

kmeves (1098) - Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin, USA - JAN 30, 2008
Pours a slightly hazy yellow/orange color with a white head that dissipates quickly. Floral aroma, bread and metal dominate the nose. Flavor is grassy and nicey bitter but finishes far too short to be enjoyable. Thin mouthfeel, flavor is too metallic to be enjoyable.

Bottled. A golden beer with a white head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of caramel. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel and lot os hops, leading to a boring slightly bitter finish.
