Slacks (357), Bolton, Ontario, Canada Aug 27, 2006 341ml Bottle: Pours golden in colour with a thick head that stayed with me to the end. Plenty of artificial carbonation flowing upwards. Aroma of butter, hops, and malts; intriguing. Taste is quite nice, actually. Lots of rich malts on the first sip, makes way to a nice soft bitterness with floral tones from the hops. Excellent balance, and far superior to the phony arse Alex Keith stuff. Surprising, but sadly I found myself quite bloated due to the fake carbonation. Otherwise a very good pick.
fonefan (4871), Ulfborg, Denmark Sep 29, 2008 Draught @ Devonshire Cat, Sheffield. Bedfordshire England S3 8GG. Clear medium orange color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is light to moderate malty, moderate hoppy, peppery. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average duration, and a peppery finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. (270708) pacaus (42), Dublin, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 17, 2008 Its really hard to rate this beer because it did taste good, but tasted more like a lager than an IPA? I was kind of confused. As a lager I would rate it higher but as an IPA I probably should have rated it lower. I do not taste the hopiness that characterize a good IPA. gotohelunc (385), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA Sep 10, 2008 Bottle. Nearly odorless. Big foamy white head. Strange flavors for an IPA...kinda malty, sharp carbonation, strange bitter finish. I would never identify this as IPA, and I wouldn’t buy it again. PaulHegedus (117), Brampton, Ontario, Canada Sep 6, 2008 Updated: Sep 7, 2008Bottle. Pours golden with a steady white head, grassy aroma with caramel. I taste sweetness in the malt, caramel, light hop bitterness, with wateriness. Mouthfeel is watery also. brewssuds (10), British Columbia, Canada Aug 14, 2008 Fairly light and crisp. I’m not sure I’d call it an IPA, but I quite liked this one. Very drinkable and clean tasting. I could drink a lot of these in one session.
