This is my favorite english bitter. I lived off of it while in England.

Enjoyed on tap at The King’s Head. Silky, creamy head coated the glass the entire way down. Medium brown color, with smooth, mellow taste. A great pub drink...

On tap in Kent. Thick, creamy head, extremly nice. Dark brown body. Nice, well-balanced bitterness with flavours of nuts.

Cask-conditioned. Mid-brown appearance, bubbly head. A load of malt and some hoppy bitterness. Surprisingly good.

Drank a lot of this while in England with the USAF, excellent drinking beer, low on the alcohol, looks great in a crystal mug by the fire in any pub in East Anglia.

UPDATED: FEB 1, 2006 It is ok, but I think many confused this with the special smooth, which is in a red can.
