Its a bitter. Its commercialized, its more drinkable than lager... Out of a can, decent foamy white head, copper colored, not much flavor.

Smells a bit like medicine caramel. Pours like a Guinness with nitrogen widget induced foam, Fine foam one finger head. Clear but dark brown like a deep caramel. Lives up name with smooth feel and taste. Mildly bitter taste but feels smooth with only a hint of carbonation hitting my tongue. Kind of clean finish as it’s detect anything after. Kind of plain brew as it doesn’t excite one much. I imagine this being a good brew to knock a few back at the pub. I actually like this one a lot.

1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 6/20
Aroma - very faint caramel.
Appearance - something has to be said about Nitrogen and Widget cans, always leave a really the taster a really exciting beer show. The beer sets up really well, with that cascading beer body in the can ends up with a nice caramel amber, and a resilient white heard that always stays a 1/2 thick and perfectly level. With little effervescent bubbles throughout. It also laces very well.
Taste - is really watered down caramel and cereal malt, with a little corn-like flavor as well.
Palate - the body is ultra light, the texture ultra thin, the carbonation big in the glass - almost non-existent on the tongue. Finish - leaves a little bitterness hanging out on the sides of the tongue

A very smooth and drinkable ’bitter’, perhaps without too much character. Still, I openly admit enjoying it! I was quite hungover and enjoying a carvery.

Keg on tap in London. Tried both versions. Hazy amber color with smooth head. Drinkable, a bit watery, not much of a flavor. I’d prefer it to industrial lagers.
