Pretty alright from a can. I am not a big fan of bitters but this one is quite drinkable, not too bitter, actually pretty smooth. No head.

On draught. The sort of beer I buy when I find myself in a place with limited selection. But it isn’t great. Thin, very watery. A bland session bitter.

500ml can with widget. Pours red-amber with a creamy white head. Faint aroma if caramel. Taste is watery and a sort of bitter. Would probably be better with food.

Clear amber color with medium beige head. Aroma is soft, bready, biscuity, malty and light caramel. Taste follows the nose, caramel, bread, toasted malts and slightly floral. Really smooth, but very weak in flavour.

A good go-to in English pubs when nothing else of interest is on. Creamy with a thick head and smooth in flavor.

Tastes like a classic English bitter. Low on alcohol and very smooth body with hints of a hoppy character.

Its unavoidable if you go out drinking in non real ale pubs at some point you will be stuck with a choice of guinness ager or john smiths lokks good in the glass and they tend to slip down in 3 sips overly seeet and overly carbonated
