Very pale yellow color, thin white head. Very light and fizzy but surprisingly with a nice touch of flavor. Like Nate said tastes like a higher quality light beer.

Light hoppy aroma, sweetness of grain. Clean overall. Pale yellow clear, a bit dull, with thin white head. Light bodied beer with medium-high carbonation, almost fizzy. Starts with light grain, mild malts and some mild bitterness. Medium acidity throughout with mild bitter finish. Tastes like a higher quality light beer.

My first trip to the JBC. This beer at first glance held the least appeal. A golden light beer. "Ha!" I cried, "let’s get this one over with and go for the good stuff." The draft came and what do I see but a beer with a light golden color. Minimal head to be sure, but golden really, not yak piss yellow as I expected. "Hmmmm." There was a faint generic macro scent that led me to believe that truly my eyes deceived me, and that yes this was truly going to be drain pour worthy. But a funny thing happened on the way to the drain. I bothered to taste. True, there was no explosion of miraculous flavors, but I was treated to a smooth, relatively dry beer with reasonable hints of nut. While I was not inclined to leap upon the table to proclaim my love to the masses, there really was far more flavor than I expected. I guess in this case a hint of flavor and an otherwise surprisingly inoffensive palate made for a reasonably drinkable beer. And after quaffing the aforementioned supposedly better good stuff, we ended up coming back to this beer for seconds.

A terrible desecration, trying to make an ale taste like a lager, but they do it, and it’s as drinkable as your favorite macro. Light, flat, typical, inoffensive.

Update:Bit more toast malt flavors, lower carbonation, mild finish. Less cheap. New score: 3.0
