Bottle conditioned; Regular. Has also been available occasionally in Cask. Also known as Matthews Mild.
A carefully hopped mild ale, with a floral finish. ‘Wallop’ is old London slang for a mild ale, and the recipe recalls a pleasant Summer’s night in Covent Garden long ago.

Bottled. Murky mahogany clears to a rugged teak. Solid cream head. Warm nutshell aroma rounds to milky coffee. One of the finest milds I’ve had this year and probably the best bottle-conditioned.

Some roast aroma. White head. Dark coloured smooth on the palate slightly hoppy and creamy. A little bitterness and dryness in a crisp lasting finish.
