Tap at Michigan Winter Beer Festival - 22-Feb-2014. Pale golden with small head. Basil is subtle. Tart, but not overly sour. Wonderful flavor. Awesome.

Draft sample at MiWBF 14. Wasn’t sure how this would turn out and it was great. Slight basil/anise aroma and rounded flavors.

Cloudy yellow with a bright white head. Sour funk, oaky, basil, lemons...interesting brew.

On tap at the Michigan Fall Beer Fest. Decent beer from Jolly Pumpkin. Tart and refreshing.

UPDATED: JAN 20, 2014 Tap: turbid, muddled straw-yellow body with a stark white head that quickly recedes to nothing more than a collar. Aroma is very grassy & green with kitchen spices, basil, pepper, & a solid oak backbone with a finishing touch of some signature Jolly Pumpkin-esque funk. Taste is full of oak, basil, spices, some sharp green apple tartness, mild wet hay funk, & very faint lemon & lemongrass. Green, slightly herbaceous at times. Spiced with a nice balance of tartness & funk.

On tap @ Backcountry Pizza. Cloudy golden pour with sizable white head. Nose is tart lemon, basil, herbs, and a touch of oak. Peach, ginger, orange, and grass. Flavor has a nice citrus tartness to it. Lemon zest, basil, ginger, and a nice spice. Some grass and peach notes in there as well, decent oak as well. Decent, the spice and tartness is an alright combination.

On tap at Back Country Pizza poured a hazy gold with a small lingering ivory head. Aromas of straw, basil, light citrus and light vanilla. Palate was light bodied and smooth. Flavors of straw, vanilla and light basil with a smooth lingering vanilla finish.
