Good, if you like slightly rotten lemons and corrindor. Personally, I don’t see the hype but I guess to each thier own. JaBier (1501), Capital City, Ohio, USA

Nose of orange and brett with some tartness and funk that’s not over the top. Flavor is slightly tart and citrusy with a bitter hop finish. Reminds me of Orval, which is a compliment. drseusszb200 (235), Florida, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 24, 2010 On draft at JP cafe in Ann Arbor. Hazy orange color, not a lot of head. Flavor is strongly spicy funk. Pepper, spices, hay, and slight barnyard funkiness. A refreshing beer that is not overly assertive, but rather pretty drinkable. j12601 (1501), Poughkeepsie, New York, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 23, 2010 Bottle. Pours a hazy gold with a medium to large sized creamy white head that looks a little infected as it settles, but as it’s JP, I’m just glad I didn’t have to scrape any off the ceiling. Beautiful classic JP brett funkiness right up front. Clean sweet hay, light fruit with a touch of honey. Medium bodied, huge carbonation, again making me glad this one didn’t gush. Nice clean wheat and musky saison yeast with more subtle funk. Finishes dry and crisp again with a little more funk coming in. Another tasty JP brew. curly (1035), Nashville, Tennessee, USA

Aroma of bubblegum, slightly acidic fruit-lemon, lime, also with yeasty spice. Taste is earthy bitterness with some tart and bitter finish. Good balance of sweetness and bitter. mspindler (385), Alta Loma, California, USA

| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Jan 15, 2010 1 pint, 9.4 fl oz bottle. Very solid here. I kind of relate this beer to getting a nice steak at an upscale restaurant. Not in how it tastes of course, but just the idea that there’s nothing really unexpected or unique here, though at the same time very well prepared, and a high quality product overall. The aromatic yet unimposing nose really takes you in from the start. Again, nothing crazy, but the blend of light peppercorn spices, tangy citrus, and fresh baked French bread really come together nicely. A good pour as well, with a two finger sized creamy/pillowy white head, slightly cloudy light-medium body, and golden banana in color. The balance, again, upon sipping is truly fantastic, and the simple, yet effective flavors of lightly spiced herb, grapefruit citrus, and that fresh baked bread produce very good results. The palate, also, seems to have the perfect blend of crisp and smooth qualities to make this highly drinkable, while not seeming too light at 4.5% abv. This is probably the most impressed I ever been with such a simple beer.
