Pours an amber color with an ample white head. The aroma was funky with tart fruits and yeasty sourdough breads. The taste is similarly tart and funky, with a great deal of biscuit and some wood. The mouthfeel was a bit thin and light. The finish is long and dry with lingering bugs. Overall: A very interesting saison. Good, but no wow factor either. Bragesnak (2257), Aarhus, Denmark

Pours cloudy golden with thick white head.
Aroma is once again laoded with JP funk and sourness that transpires over everything else. Nose is rather fresh and fruity of green apples.
Taste, funk, fruity, light apple/pear tartness.
Signature JP mouthfeel with light vinegary palate. Not my favorite, but easy to drink.

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 2, 2009 Pours with a nice haze, the color of a ripe carambola, a pale peach with soapsuds head. Very aromatic and peculiar pedio-forward aroma. Some peach and plum skins, funky but not tart-smelling, some earth and exotic but mild spices and some wood character. High carbonation is a bit much, detracts. Very nice flavors, including solid clean cereal grains that add depth and texture, finishes very dry but not bitter or tart. Is woody and cheesy in nature too. Falls short for me because of the pedio and the fizziness but still fun. Oakes (8080), gone rambling, Vietnam
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 2, 2009 Opaque golden with low, rocky head. Looks gorgeous. The aroma is very dusty with no shortage of pedio. There’s also appley esters and some slightly doughy malts. The malty body has subtle fruitiness and a pleasant yeasty character. The carbonation is just sharp enough to cut through the malts. The finish is dry but refreshing, if a shade too gassy. nefarious (203), Clarkston, Michigan, USA
