Commercial Description:
This delicious farmhouse ale is named for our Jack Russell, who struck by a car, bounced back in fine tenacious Jack Russell fashion, and is brewed for those of us who knocked down, have picked up, dusted off and carried on undaunted. Golden, naturally cloudy, bottle conditioned and dry hopped for a perfectly refreshing balance of spicy malts, hops and yeast. Please enjoy our beers in good health, And look both ways when crossing the street!

Very light pale yellow with a thick fluffy white head. Very hazy. Sour lemony aroma with lots of earthy funk. A touch of vinegar. Bitter lemon flavor with woody malts. A little bit sour. Great saison!

(Bottle, Stockholm Beer Festival, 27 Sep 2008) Yellow colour with frothy, white head. Fruity, citric nose with yeast, stable, barnyard, tropical fruit and lemon. Malty, tart taste with notes of yeast, tropical fruit and generous amounts of grassy hops in a dryish finish. On the sour side for a saison (if that was the idea), but very refreshing.

Bottle, bought @ Havnens Vin & Tobak, Vejle.
Pours a nice, hazy yellow with a big, initially fizzy, frothy white head. Okay duration as it settles. Wonderful aroma, good brett, oranges, maltiness, pineapple, hay, barnyard and some forest. High and lively carbonation - just fitting the beer. Good flavour, not nearing the aroma, but still great. Light fresh fruit, crisp malts and a slight dry brett note and some slight tart fruitiness. Apples, pineapple and pine hops. Slight peppery finish, but most of that is hidden behind the brett. Good - an American interpretation - but still very good.

(Bottle) Pours hazy pale orange golden with a white, medium head. The aroma is woody citric with lemon and lime up front alongside tones of dew/wet flowers, black tea, herbs, coriander, tart apples, barnyard/horse blanket/mold, crackers and toast. A tiny touch of phenols, white pepper, ginger wet leather and cheese. The fantastic nose has a great balance between the malt, hops and yeast. The flavour is dryish and light to medium acidic with a subtle backdrop of tight malt and hops. Tones of lemony citrus, crackers, moldy horse blanket, black tea and flowers. The mouthfeel is light but lively and the dryness plays well with the carbonation. Light to medium bodied. Wow, one of the most underrated beers I have ever tried.

Shady pale yellow color, some particles as well, white head. Sweet, fruity, acidic, slight oaky, spritzy zcent. Some stables as well. Acidic, bitter, sweet, though almost stale, taste. A bit thin mouthfeel, low bitterness.
