Sep 19, 2009 Thanks to my inlaws for bringing this back from Montana for me. Pours a cloudy bright gold with a lively, finely bubbled head. Immediately after the pour there is a lovely perfumey lemony aroma. As the head settles and the beer breathes, more yeast and spices come forward, along with a little sour funk. The palate is light and dry, with flavours of lemon, dusty yeast, spices, and a woody tartness that is not quite truly sour. Tasty and refreshing.

Sep 18, 2009 Golden color fluffy head. Very effervescent. Aroma has spice, yeast, green grass, and some sweetness. Flavor is grassy, spice and some citrus. Finishes dry.

Sep 17, 2009 Pours a pale hazy yellow gold with medium white head, decent lacing. Aroma decent of hops, yeast, spices, light malt, and some herbal notes. Flavor matches well and has the right amount of tartness without dominating, making for a wonderfully refreshing brew. Another great one from JP.

Sep 17, 2009 At Lunar Brewing Co. on tap so the high carbonation and usual activity found with the bottles was a little more under control. Poured a hazy, straw hue with a lasting, creamy, white head and strands and streaks of lacing. The aroma was some lemon Alka Seltzer Plus, light floral notes, and yeasty funk. The flavor was a more pleasant grassy lemon, with spice, soft malt, and peppery dryness. Once past the somewhat expected but still bizarre nose, I found it a refreshing, quality Saison

Sep 13, 2009 From a 750ml bottle into my snifter. Pours a hazy golden... great color. Tons of head that stays around for a good 5-10 minutes and leaves clumps around the glass. Smells like champagne and light yeast. Taste is of pepper and funk. Lots of bite but a little bit mediciney for my taste. The other issue is the carbonation. It’s way too carbonated to drink right away. Still, it’s a good saison with some very deep flavors.

Sep 12, 2009 Full, fun, foamy white head first out of the bottle. Smooth, authentically sincere. Citrus and straw overtones, but then bitter. Beautiful looking with lively but not fizzy carbonation.

Sep 10, 2009 750 ml bottle. A hazy medium golden beer with a huge, frothy, mostly lasting white head. The aroma is lightly malty, with a good hoppiness and yeastiness. There are many citric notes (lemon above all, but also grapefruit), plus orange, spices (clove), and flowers. The flavour is lightly to moderately sweet, moderately acidic, lightly bitter. Very fruity and tart. Balanced too. Medium body at best, lively/fizzy carbonation, quite long finish with medium bitterness. Very lemony and acidic, very refreshing and perfect for a hot summer day.
