BigMilly8 (374), Holiday, Florida, USA Mar 29, 2008 From bottle : Pours a slightly hazy, golden color, with good carbonatation. A big two fingers of rocky white foam form on top, and has great retention, lasting pretty much throughout the whole beer. Nose is big time barnyard smells, with some spices and a little hit of hops im getting. Taste is again like the other saisons i have tried....weird, lol. It is kinda bland, but has spices and yeast tastes. Medium mouthfeel, but finishes thick and creamy. Aftertaste is carbonated, and spicey. Decent campmonster (9), USA does not count Mar 27, 2008 A good introduction to JP. Mature and hoppy. It’s not going to be the all-star at the show but a solid performer. Tastes like a great beer, plain and simple. marcus (1826), Sacramento, California, USA Mar 27, 2008 This golden ale poured with a massive off-white head and a fruity aroma. There is a spicy hoppy flavor that is, unfortunately a bit thin. It’s refreshing, but doesn’t provide enough taste to be on a par with the good Belgian saisons. The bottle does sport a great label, which is typical of Jolly Pumpkin. WISEGUY572 (1244), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Mar 24, 2008 Certainly a fine beer, but not on a bar with the best Belgian farm house ales or Saisons, and not on a par with the best from jJlly Pumpkin. Gets a bonus point for being under 5% alcohol, but loses at least one for costing so much more than a Dupont. Cloudy orange, huge foamy head. Funky nose but the flavor does not deliver the necessary complexity, merely some sourness and a touch of hops. blutt59 (2045), Dallas, Texas, USA Mar 24, 2008 12 0z. bottle, nice cloudy orange yellow color with typical fluffy head, good sour aroma, nice funk sour taste with some spice and orange, very good BMan1113VR (2758), Los Angeles (and Dallas), Texas, USA Mar 22, 2008 Bought a 750mL for my Mom as she likes and owns two Jack Russell Terriers. The beer is a bit funky. Pours with a large, rocky, white head over a slightly murky champagne colored body. Small bubbles rise to the surface the entire time that the liquid is in the cup. LOTS of lacing left on the glass. Aroma is funky, citrusy and woody. Taste is a somewhat sharp, funky, sourness, with nearly some raspberry in the finish. Mouthfeel is ultra dry, which is to the style, but not my favorite quality in beers. Cute picture on the bottle is probably the most memorable part of this beer. Still interested in trying the E.S.Bam. Vas19 (293), Maryland, USA Mar 20, 2008 Orange yellow color with tall white head. Unpleasant citrus aroma. Spicy fruit taste. A bit sour. Dry. Decent flavor but I dont like the nose. fiulijn (7150), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy Mar 18, 2008 Cloudy blond color; thick huge head. Spicy aroma, with oranges, cellar, citrusy. Medium mouthfeel, dry, very spicy, with bitter oranges and high bitterness. Pleasant.
